Who these terms are with

These terms cover orders placed with Kessel's Tuning through this website, and use of the site itself. The shop operates from 40 Dutch Row Rd, Monroeville, New Jersey.

Placing an order means you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not place an order.

What you are buying

Remote calibration orders are a service that results in a digital file, not a physical product. Nothing is shipped. Your calibration is delivered electronically to the support ticket created with your order.

In-person dyno work is a booked service performed at the shop by appointment. The booking secures shop and dyno time.

What we need from you

A calibration can only be written from accurate information. You are responsible for the vehicle details you submit, including year, make, model, VIN where applicable, engine, transmission, fuel and the full list of modifications.

If the vehicle differs from what you described, the calibration may be wrong for it. Tell us what is actually on the car, including anything installed by a previous owner.

For remote work you are also responsible for supplying the stock file from your vehicle and for having a compatible device to read and flash it.

Revisions

Remote calibrations include revisions. Send a datalog and we adjust the file until it runs correctly for the combination you described.

Revisions cover the vehicle and modification list on your original order. Adding or changing hardware afterwards is new work and is quoted separately.

Flashing the file

For remote work, you install the calibration yourself. Follow the instructions supplied with it, use the device the file was written for, and load the correct file to the correct vehicle.

Do not attempt to flash a vehicle with a low battery, with the engine running where the instructions say otherwise, or while the vehicle is moving. An interrupted flash can leave a control module unusable, and recovering one is not covered by your order.

Safety and testing

Test changes somewhere it is safe and legal to do so. Public roads are not a place to find the limit of a modified vehicle.

Before running increased power, make sure the vehicle is up to it: brakes, tyres, cooling, fuel system and driveline all matter, and so does the condition of what is already fitted.

You are responsible for the condition of the vehicle you present to us, including wear or damage that existed before we touched it.

Your calibration file

A calibration is written for one vehicle and licensed to you for that vehicle. It is not for resale, redistribution, publication, or loading onto other cars.

Sharing a file, or having one reverse engineered or copied, ends any support and revisions attached to your order.

Devices and third-party software

Handheld programmers and tuning software from other companies, including SCT, HPTuners, Holley EFI and ACES EFI, are their products, not ours. We are not affiliated with them and their own licences and terms apply to your use of them.

You are responsible for holding a valid, appropriately licensed device with credits available where those are required.

Indemnity

You agree to cover us against claims, losses and costs arising from how the vehicle is used after the work, from information you gave us that was inaccurate or incomplete, or from use of a calibration on a vehicle it was not written for.

Using this site

Do not attempt to interfere with this site, its checkout, or other people’s orders. The site’s text, photographs and layout belong to the shop and are not for reuse.

Payment

Payment is taken at checkout through Stripe. Card details are entered directly into Stripe and are never held on this site.

Prices shown at checkout are the prices charged. Work begins once payment clears and the required vehicle information has been received.

Refunds and cancellations

Because a remote calibration is written specifically for your vehicle, it cannot be returned once it has been delivered.

If you have paid and no calibration has been written yet, contact the shop and we will work it out.

Dyno appointments cancelled with reasonable notice can be rescheduled. Contact the shop as early as you can.

Modified vehicles, emissions and intended use

Calibration work alters how an engine runs. Depending on the vehicle and the changes involved, a modified vehicle may not be legal to operate on public roads, and altering or removing emissions equipment is regulated by federal and state law.

You are responsible for how your vehicle is used and for complying with the law where you live and drive. Work intended for competition or off-road use should be used only for that.

If you are unsure whether something is appropriate for your vehicle or your use, ask before you order.

Warranty and risk

Modifying a vehicle can affect a manufacturer warranty. Whether a warranty claim is honoured is between you and your manufacturer or dealer.

Performance work carries risk. Engines, drivetrains and related components can fail, and a vehicle with pre-existing wear, damage or unreported modifications is more likely to. You accept that risk when you order.

Our responsibility for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it.

Your account of the vehicle

We rely on what you tell us. If a calibration causes a problem because the vehicle was not as described, or because it was used differently to what was agreed, that is outside what we can be responsible for.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey.

Changes

These terms may be updated. The version in force for your order is the one published when you placed it. Last updated August 2026.
